Tallulah Falls Fire & Rescue is a completely volunteer fire department. The TFFD serves all of Tallulah Falls, assists neighboring Rabun and Habersham counties, is first to any medical or rescue incidents in Tallulah Gorge State Park, and enjoys a strong working relationship with both Rabun and Habersham County Fire and Rescue Services. While our primary function is for Fire Prevention and Suppression, we are also certified and trained in High Angle Rescue and Emergency Medical Response. We house two Pumper apparatus and one Service Truck equipped with our High Angle Rescue gear.

Due to the ongoing efforts of our Fire Department personnel, homeowners and businesses benefit from an ISO rating of 4 / 4X, which helps keep insurance premium costs down. To qualify for the 4 rating, your residence must be within 1000 feet of a qualified hydrant. You can read our latest ISO report
